Visitor Insights
How this guide works, what it refuses to do, and how entries are written so readers can move with confidence.
An independent platform focused on hospitality discovery — what this site is and, plainly, what it is not
Bonus Getaway Play is a discovery guide. It describes hospitality properties in a consistent structure so you can understand setting, category and character before you leave for an official listing.
It is not a booking engine. There is no search that pretends to query inventory, no date picker, and no checkout. The site does not hold rooms and does not speak for any operator.
What you find here is editorial overview: location, star class, property type and a short description grounded in those facts. What you do not find is pressure language or invented urgency.
When a detail matters for a stay decision — house rules, current facilities, live information — that detail belongs on the property's own listing page, not on ours.
Who We Are — an independent guide with no ownership of, or agreement with, any property named on it
We are an independent editorial project. We own no hotels, manage no resorts and hold no commercial agreement with any property named in these pages.
Names appear because they identify real businesses. Their appearance does not imply partnership, endorsement or sponsorship in either direction.
Editorial choices — which catalogue a property sits in, how a sentence is phrased — are ours alone. Operators do not approve or fund the copy.
If something looks wrong, the contact form exists so you can flag it. Corrections are part of keeping an independent guide honest.
What We Present — descriptive overviews of accommodation, amenities and surroundings, in a consistent structure
Each entry follows the same skeleton: name, city and province, category and star class, then a short description of the place as lodging.
Setting shapes the prose. A waterfront resort is framed differently from a downtown city hotel, but the structure stays identical so comparisons remain fair.
We do not invent restaurant names, amenity lists or room counts. If a fact was not supplied for an entry, it does not appear.
Photography illustrates the property attached to that card. Images are not a promise about any specific room or facility on a given day.
Our Approach — clarity, structure and transparency, and why the site sends readers to official listing pages for details
Clarity, structure and transparency govern the writing. Sentences stay short. Sections do one job. Links that leave the site are limited to official listing URLs on venue cards.
We send readers to those listing pages because that is where details and availability are maintained by the parties responsible for them.
This site never ranks properties against each other as winners and losers. Catalogue pages group entries by editorial angle, not by score.
Independence is not a slogan here. It is the reason we refuse bookings, payments and affiliation claims. For more on method, see Behind This Guide.
